I volunteer at the Pima Animal Care Center in Tucson AZ.
I do general dog walking as well as working with the TopDogs Team to help the behaviorally challenged dogs. As a group we work with the problematic dogs, but more importantly we train other volunteers to train the shelter dogs, with the hopes of making the dogs more adoptable.
I also work with adopters and fosters to help their newly adopted/fostered dogs acclimate to life in a home away from the shelter. This process can be challenging for some dogs as well as for the adopters/fosters.
I have started a private Foundation to offer free training for dogs fostered or adopted from Pima Animal Care Center, our county shelter.
