Specializing in reward-based Good Manners training and behavior consulting for the family dog to help them become well-behaved companions and family members. We offer small group classes, private training (day training and day coaching) and in-home training. Behavior consulting includes focus on unwanted behaviors such as destructive chewing, house soiling, resource/object guarding, fear/shyness, desensitization to veterinarian exams, submissive urination, separation anxiety, intra-pack aggression, dog/dog aggression and dog/human aggression. Located in Murphy, North Carolina, the western tip of the state, we assist clients in the tri-state area of North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee (which includes the cities of Hiawassee, Young Harris, Blairsville, Blue Ridge and McCaysville, GA and Copperhill and Ducktown, TN.? Murphy is located approximately 2 hours from Atlanta,GA, 2 hours from Chattanooga, TN, 2 hours from Knoxville, TN and 2 hours from Asheville, NC. Private training: When your schedule doesn't allow time for a group class, we work with you and your dog in a private setting to address specific behavior challenges and/or specific training goals. Day Training is a program to jump start your dog's learning using our training expertise to help you reach your goals for your dog. We train the dog in your home while you?re at work or doing other things and we focus our training based on your goals.? We then teach the client the necessary handling skills to maintain the training over time. Day Training consists of an initial consultation,? then a number of weeks of training and behavior modification to address the client's specific training goals.? At the end of each week, there?s a transition session to show the client what the dog has learned and to transfer training and handling skills to the client.
