Description
This presentation will provide information on the initiative by the Department of Justice and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to strengthen forensic science in the US. The Dogs and Sensors Subcommittee will focus on standards and guidelines related to performance of deployed dog/handler teams and optimization of their combination with electronic detection devices. The development of these recommendations involve all areas of canine detection are based on scientific evidence, expert opinion and input from the community.
