Description

Together, we’ll explore how dog activity level can offer meaningful insight into a dog’s physical comfort and welfare. We’ll look at what current research tells us about what constitutes “normal” canine activity, what patterns may suggest underlying discomfort, and which external factors (like age, environment, breed, and owner habits) can skew our interpretation. You’ll also learn why client-reported activity may be an unreliable metric and what tools are emerging as better alternatives for capturing objective activity data. We'll discuss how wearables can provide deeper context in your assessments, helping you catch what a casual glance might miss. Whether you're supporting clients post-diagnosis or working through subtle behavior changes, this webinar will give you new ways to view “low energy” and “high energy” dogs through a lens of evidence and Dynamic Dog-informed practice.
