Description

This is an interactive workshop providing a comprehensive understanding of behavior modifications as it relates to all species, both domestic and exotic. Participants will gain hands-on experience applying their newfound knowledge to real-life scenarios with ZooTampa animals. They will also discover ethical and science-based methods from expert instructors who will share the latest principles and techniques in animal well-being. Workshop Topics: Past, present, and the future of teaching animals; Behavior Modification Theory; Keystone behavior concepts; Aggression causes and reduction strategies; Affective States and effects on animal learning and welfare; Behavioral monitoring for data-driven decision making; Case study discussions.
