Description

Throughout this microcredential, you'll learn why it's crucial to establish proper warm-up and cool-down routines, prevent injuries, and maintain overall wellness for your furry companion. The Canine Conditioning Microcredential is designed to equip you with practical exercises and strategies aimed at strengthening your dog's muscles safely and effectively. Whether you're looking to prevent injuries, aid in recovery post-injury or surgery, or simply enhance your dog's strength and endurance, we've got you covered. Discover how to identify and address weak areas in your dog's muscle development, setting the stage for a healthier and more active lifestyle. From tailored exercises to essential warm-up and cool-down techniques, you'll gain valuable knowledge to promote your dog's physical fitness while enjoying quality bonding time together. While this course is a must for canine athletes striving for optimal performance, it's equally beneficial for every dog's general health and fitness. Classroom Portion Details: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm: Young Dog/Introduction to Conditioning - Perfect for young pups eager to start their fitness journey. 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Adult/Sporting Dog Conditioning - Designed for adult dogs or those engaged in sporting activities. This classroom day offers the flexibility for participants to attend both streams if they desire, but they can only participate with a dog in one session. However, attending without a dog is also permitted, making the course accessible to all participants, regardless of their dog's availability or suitability. Please ensure you bring a crate for your dog to ensure their safety during breaks between sessions. Additionally, all owners are required to keep their dogs on a leash, clean up after them, and provide any necessary toys or treats for the class.
