Description
Can dogs really learn how to self-calm? Yes, they can! Veterinary behaviorist and author of the Manual of Clinical Behavioral Medicine for Dogs and Cats, Dr. Karen Overall, has provided us with the tools to help our canine patients and clients. The first in a two-part series, we will focus on Dr. Overall's Protocols for Deference and Teaching Your Dog to Take a Deep Breath. Marge will show you how she uses these protocols in her training programs. She includes video examples demonstrating the behaviors at home, away from home, and in the veterinary clinic. We'll also review how the right types of tactile interactions can help calm dogs.
