Description

For the 10th consecutive year, a collection of the greatest minds in the field of animal training and behavior will come together with dog lovers, owners, trainers, pet professionals and behavior enthusiasts from around the world for one of the premiere global online events of the year: The Dog Behavior Conference. The first 6 years of the Dog Behavior Conference (DBC) were in-person in the UK, but since 2020 the conference has been held virtually and has quickly become the go-to event for dog lovers all over the world. From April 21-23, 2023, an all-star lineup of thought leaders and influential experts will join forces with a dedicated audience that is committed to improving the lives of pet dogs and the people who love them. The conference will feature 12 presentations, live Q&A events with speakers, and other interactive elements which allow audience members to network, connect and inspire one another. “I could not be more thrilled with the dynamic group of experts who have agreed to participate in this year’s online Dog Behavior Conference,” said VSA founder and president Victoria Stilwell. “Every year the bar gets raised higher and higher, and every year the knowledge and inspiration provided by our speakers absolutely blows those expectations out of the water.” Long known for its promotion of progressive, forward-leaning tools, methods and thinking in the field of animal behavior, the DBC has also gained a reputation as more than just ‘another dog training conference.’ The event’s audience is comprised of a unique blend of attendees who share a common passion for helping to change dogs’ lives positively, and the format of the DBC is structured in specific ways which empower its attendees to connect with one another on a level deeper than usual, especially for an online, virtual event. “One of the most rewarding things about hosting the DBC is to witness the change it can help inspire among those who attend,” said Stilwell. “From aspiring dog trainers to rescue and shelter workers, veterinary staff, other pet professionals and also dog owners looking to live their best lives with their canine companions, the DBC audience truly gives back to one another as much as they receive from our phenomenal speakers. It’s a special shared connection.” The DBC’s speaker list includes Suzanne Clothier, Sarah Fisher, Victoria Stilwell, Maia Huff-Owen, Sarah Heath, Abigail Witthauer, Kristina Spaulding, Darris Cooper, Andrew Hale, Jennifer Shryock, Rachel Bean and Irith Bloom.
