Description
While our treat bags should always be full, often we encounter dogs who just aren't motivated by treats in that moment. Instead of reaching to punishment because treats "don't work," there are tons of functional rewards that we can use instead. This session will highlight examples of functional rewards often found in shelters, how to utilize them to build desirable behaviors during every interaction with a dog, and how to talk to adopters about these incredibly valuable reward options.
