Description
Following topics will be covered in this lecture. 1.What are the AAI (Animal Assisted Interventions)？Fumi will go over the definitions of AAI and guidelines for wellness of animals involved in the AAI programs described in IAHAIO White Paper (2014, revised in 2018). 2. This class focuses on AAE. She will introduce some actual AAE programs and explain how the AAE is planned, conducted, and evaluated. 3. Process of selecting the dogs in AAI. She will introduce two-tiered evaluation approach: PADA(Personality Assessment for Domestic Animals) and Therapy Dog Evaluation. 4. Training dogs for AAI. The benefits of social learning approach in dog training.
