Join PhD candidate Anamarie Johnson for a live presentation of her research on the language that popular USA-based dog trainers use on their websites, and a discussion of her paper on the subject, recently published in Anthrozoos. Arizona State University PhD candidate Anamarie Johnson will discuss her recent Anthrozoos paper, for which she collected data on key words used on the about pages of websites to analyze the frequency and context of terms such as "mother nature" and "science." She also looked at trends based on gender, and correlated certification and trainer methodology. Looking at the words trainers use in the context of their client-facing sites, she attempted to determine what kind of things consumers should look for when trying to determine a training business' methods.
