Description

During this webinar Judy Luther will discuss how to utilize the latest cognitive research to teach family pets more effectively. She will explain how building a trust centered relationship between pets and their owners will increase their capacity to learn. You will learn how to help your clients facilitate a Trust centered relationship with their dogs. We will also discuss how to use social learning and imitation to teach animals both simple and complex behaviors. This methods makes the learning process, quick. stress free and fun for the dog and the one. We will also, touch on how giving choices can build confidence, develop problem solving skills and reduce anxiety in dogs. Learning Objectives: How to build a trust-centered relationship between the pet and owner, and how it influences learning. How to include social learning in training programs. Teaching animals using imitation and mimicking to build strong behaviors quickly and efficiently. How to use choice with animals to develop independent thinking.
