Description

This webinar will focus on teaching the correct process to build fluid back chains. You will learn how simple this process can be. So many behaviors can be trained using this method and doing so will ensure your dog understands and is able to perform the behavior with fluency each time they are cued. You will learn why back chaining is so powerful in achieving results and the difference between training a regular behavior chain versus a back chain. You will also learn how to look at behaviors differently and think about what it is that you really want the dog to know and then perform so you can build a back chain to accomplish that goal. The behaviors taught in this webinar range from tricks (clean up your toys, go to the crate and close the crate door and get a drink out of the refrigerator), dog sports (canine freestyle routines, disc dogging routines, flyball, agility contacts, weave poles, rally and more), to real world behaviors (no jumping on people, going inside the house, getting in the car, etc). You will receive a step by step instruction on the process of back chaining. Webinar Objectives What back chains are and why you should use them. You will learn important concepts such as: Verbal/Visual Cues Stimulus Control Variable Reinforcement Schedules Rewarding in Position Repetition Adding Criteria Fluency Premack Principle Anticipation (what it is and how to prevent it) Using Extra Cues Fading Cues Proofing Systematic Learning Conditioned Reinforcers Understanding the concept of back chaining Learn how much fun it is to back chain
