Although emotional influences on behaviour have been recognised for a number of years, more emphasis is usually placed on fear than on frustration when emotional differentials for problem behaviour are discussed. This talk will define frustration within the clinical behaviour field, consider the role frustration may play in the development of behaviour problems, and discuss what we know about managing and preventing problematic frustration in dogs.
