Description

"Whilst dogs can end up in shelters for a number of reasons, it is well documented that one of the main reasons for relinquishment is related to problem behaviours. As well as being a contributing factor for dogs ending up in shelter, problem behaviours can also be a massive barrier to rehoming. Developing and Implementing behaviour modification can be difficult with any client, but working in challenging environments such as shelters can increase pressure on both the staff and dogs they are working with. this presentation aims to look at developing BMPs within these environments in order to set both the trainer and dog up for success the presentation will look at the theory behind developing and implementing BMPs as well as looking at videos of sessions and case studies to pull everything together"
