Description

Rattlesnake AVOIDANCE Training with an added ALERT Behavior and PROTECTION behavior based on an environmental cue such as SCENT of rattlesnake, SOUND of rattlesnake & SIGHT of the snake. This course uses Positive Reinforcement Training methods. This course is a step by step instruction, via written trainingplans and Videos, breaking down the training process in chronological order. The terminal behavior is an automatic LEAVE IT behavior, then 180 degree U-turn to nudge nearby guardian to alert that a snake is detected based on scent, sound or sight. If guardian walks towards the area of the snake, the dog pushes guardian away from the area to prevent coming to close to snake. Traditional rattlesnake training is usually done with electrical collars to create paina nd a fear response. This course, teaches the dog to actually walk away and alert owner. This course does not use electrical collars or any aversive training techniques.
