Description

Come and join us for a fun and informative webinar on “retrieving the gundog way” every dog enjoys (i.e. “dummy training”). Get yourself knowledgeable on how you can turn the odd fetch game into an engaging and stimulating experience for you and your dog. Learn about how dummy training can stimulate all your dog’s senses, and about the various ways you can teach your R+ dog to retrieve any object. This webinar on basic dummy training also covers the historical background of dummy training, the four basic retrieves (i.e. marking, memory, broken marking, and search), introduction to “here” and “stop” whistles, and how you can teach your dog to patiently wait for your cue to retrieve (i.e. “steadyness”). Benefit from Nicole’s 20+ years’ experience in the field of retrieving and gundog training, and her skill to combine exhaustive experience with academic background in Applied Animal Behaviour and Applied Behaviour Analysis. On completion of this webinar, attendees will at least have a general grasp on (a) how to teach retrieving; (b) what exercises dummy training can involve; (c) how to teach and use the whistle.
