Description

A Virtual “Reactive to Relaxed: Next Steps in Control Unleashed” with Leslie McDevitt Registration opens December 27, 2020 MARCH 2021 One Great Program – Three Events - 6 Hours of Education! We are delighted to bring you this event streamed directly to your living room. Yes, we are delivering the same great material ‘virtually’ and you can still choose either a Working or an Auditor Spot. Yes, if you choose a ‘working spot’ you will have the opportunity to work with your dog and receive personalized instruction and feedback directly from Leslie. What a great opportunity to work with your dog in a way that you would not have the opportunity to do at a live workshop! No travel hassle or stress – No struggle finding a pet friendly hotel. All the great content without the cost or inconvenience. How Will This Work? All attendees will attend each of the three webinars (listed below) on the following dates and at the indicated times. Webinar recordings will also be available for 4 weeks after the live event. Following each webinar there will be a live Q&A session on the presented material with Leslie. 6 Hours of education! Webinar one: Pattern Games held on March 8, 2021. 5.pm. ET. Live Q&A 6: 00.p.m. Webinar Two: Look at That held on March 10, 2021 5.pm. ET. Live Q&A 6: 00.p.m. Webinar Three: Cooperative Counter Conditioning held on March 12, 2021 5.pm. ET. Live Q&A 6: 00.p.m. Your Webinar Descriptions a) Pattern Games. Explore the Pattern Games from Leslie’s latest ‘Control Unleashed’ book, ‘Reactive to Relaxed’. These games create a “safety net” of predictability that will help your worried dog process information about the environment from a place of confidence. Your dog will be empowered to direct his/her own counter-conditioning procedure using a ‘Start Button’ behavior that can start or stop the Pattern. The games are simple to learn, easy to customize for any situation and very effective in building your dog's confidence. b) Look at That. Look At That, or “LAT,” is perhaps the most popular of the counter-conditioning games to come out of Leslie’s book, ‘Control Unleashed’. Learn how this game has evolved over the years and catch up with the latest understanding about how and why it works. Learn to use the game to teach your dogs and clients’ dogs how to be a ‘Reporter’ instead of a ‘Reactor’! Watch your dog increase his/her confidence about navigating a stressful world as you and he/she learn this uniquely conversational tool together. c) Cooperative Counter Conditioning - Delve deeper into Leslie’s concept of cooperative counter conditioning by learning all about RAT (Requested Approach Training) and VS (Voluntary Sharing). These are two ‘Reactive to Relaxed’ protocols that give dogs the use of a ‘Start’ button behavior that empowers them to control a counter conditioning session. RAT will change their feelings about approaching “triggers” or having “triggers” approach them, while Voluntary Sharing will help with resource guarders and dogs who have a hard time taking turns. Remote Support via Facebook Group Auditors - We will have a Facebook group set up for attendees where information regarding the webinars and necessary links will be posted. Attendees can network here with other attendees and benefit from discussions and deliberations regarding the information. Recorded webinars and recorded Q&A sessions will be posted in the group Working Spots (Strictly Limited to 15 spots ONLY!) - After each webinar, Leslie will post information regarding key skills for you to practice and master. Those attendees who are registered for a working spot will have the opportunity to post videos of their training sessions and receive mentoring support and feedback directly from Leslie. Recorded webinars and recorded Q&A sessions will be posted in the group.
