Monty Sloan, with Monique Udell, PhD, explore the deep connection that humans and dogs share, discussing the evolution and natural history of the human / dog relationship. Topics will include the possible origins of dogs, early behavioral ecology and canine form, domestication versus socialization or taming, and examples of natural and artificial selection that may have resulted in the diversity of dog types and breeds we see today.
