Terry has gone virtual while we navigate our way through the COVID-19 pandemic. KARE is proud to partner with Terry for these upcoming Virtual Chicken Camps! The virtual chicken camps are one hour every week for eight weeks. You must have an emotionally available hen to participate. Check out the details below! Who: Ages 12 & up* Cost: Participant (only 6 spots): $195 Auditor**: $130 Prerequisites: An interest in clicker training animals of all sorts Continual access to a suitable chicken (hen) Willingness to acquire a few props Basic Zoom program (free) In this virtual course, you’ll get the information from Terry’s traditional Chicken Camps which is designed to practice animal training. The methods will involve marker-based positive reinforcement techniques. The focus will be on helping the human be a better trainer of any species, including humans, rather than having a chicken which can perform tricks or husbandry behaviors. Behaviors will involve target training, discrimination and obstacles. Participants will have the opportunity to work with Terry one-on-one during class sessions. CEU credits are available. **Auditors: We welcome people to participate without a chicken. Auditors will be involved in some of the skills taught, and in Q&A and critique sessions. No equipment is required other than a clicker.
