DAY 1 Deciphering the Behavior: Understanding and Working with Dogs Suffering from Separation Anxiety Separation Anxiety is a debilitating condition for both dog and caregiver often confining both to the home for weeks, months, and years. In this talk we’ll explore the myths and dive into protocols which work. We will discuss the options and advantages to remote work and outline the comprehensive approach to helping clients to deal with this stressful situation. In addition, we’ll address the isolation and talk about the client support and empathetic approach which is vital to establishing a contiguous working relationship for clients dealing daily with the issues associated with a dog who suffers when alone. DAY 2 Husbandry and Handling: Tips, Trade Secrets, Techniques, and Training! Learn how to set you, the dog, and the family up to succeed. Build a relationship based on trust which will last for many handling interactions to come. Understand how to manage and communicate to more effectively get the behaviors that you need in order to have grooming, veterinary, and other handling scenarios go faster, easier, and safer. Over the course of the day we’ll cover the following topics in more depth.
