Description
Do you want to teach your dog fun tricks? Shaping is the fastest way to harness the power of your dog's mind and start your dog on the path to really awesome skills. We will start with the foundation of what is shaping and how to get your dog started with offering behaviors that you can reward. Your dog will learn how to back up away from you using shaping. We won't be using body pressure or baby gates to build the behavior. We will start with one tiny foot movement and build to your dog being able to back up 50 to 60 feet away from you without you moving at all! Learning Objectives Discuss the power of a clicker or reward word Setting up your shaping environment Capturing the first rear foot moving The power of reward placement Adding duration/ distance Adding a cue Adding stimulus control Generalizing the behavior
