Description
This purpose of this course is to certify/recertify Teacup Dog Agility Association (TDAA) judges. This course is presented in a mixed format with multiple videos and homework assignments through a private online classroom and in-person lecture and practice. The course is open to auditors who will complete everything except the final examination. Topics cover include but are not limited to philosophy of TDAA; rules and regulations; judge guidelines and responsibilities; general course design mechanics; types of agility games and their unique design issues; determining an appropriate dog path in course design and in a live trial, based on different dog characteristics such as height, body type, and working speed; canine structure and the ramifications on course design; safety in course design and in the live trial; measuring dogs and what body types can apply for a jump height exemption; judging behavior and professionalism; appropriate interactions with competitors and trial committee; application of the rules and regulations in a live trial environment.
