Description

Pattern Games Day 1 Saturday’s workshop will focus on Pattern Games. These popular games from Control Unleashed allow dogs to initiate a predictable, reliable behavior chain that helps “normalize” challenging environments so they can focus confidently on their work. The patterns are easy and once you get the idea you and your dog can create your own. Cooperative Counter Conditioning Day 2 Learn how to use start button behavior to give your dog control over their own counter conditioning experience. If your dog has resource guarding behaviors, or simply wants all the turns, Voluntary Sharing is for you. This training game teaches the dog a ‘start button’ behavior so that he can control when the other dog gets a resource— from treats, to tugging, to doing agility obstacles. Requested Approach Training will present exercises to enable dogs to be in the driver’s’ seat of their own counter conditioning program; it will also give them control over whether something can approach or not, and whether they are ready to approach something or not.
