Description

This workshop will include new techniques for video analysis and review of the working teams. Teams will be coached on working a variety of levels/challenges. The topics planned to be covered are: Situational Awareness – the understanding and awareness of what’s going on around you at any given time. Now let’s apply this to the search areas in nose work. Mental Management – Learn some tips on how to mentally prepare for practice and competition. This is helpful for those of us that have “trial nerves”. It will give you more control over those nerves. Building Blocks – No matter what level you are at in your nose work adventure you can benefit from the knowledge you gain from watching dogs work with pooling, trapping, and elevated hides. The exercises we will do will be fun puzzles for you and your dog to be able to set up at home or in classes. Goals are to help you gain confidence in reading your dog, getting your dog into places without presenting and setting up exercises to help your dog problem-solve no matter what the challenge.
