Description

Do you dream of working with dogs and their people? Do you get goosebumps when you can geek out about dog behavior with other dog lovers? Can you not get enough education on the amazing animals we share our lives with? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions... this is the workshop for you! Dog training can be an incredibly interesting and rewarding career for people who love both ends of the leash (spoiler alert: it helps if you like people as much as you like their pups). We'll cover the qualities necessary to be an effective trainer, the various educational options to jump-start your career, and some common myths about the profession. Sara and Lindsay will provide insiders' looks into the lives of full-time dog trainers. It's not all about lecture, though! We'll dive right into some crucial concepts, with skill-building games that are appropriate (and fun!) for new trainers and seasoned professionals alike.
