Description

Is it really “compassion” fatigue, or is it so much more? For pet care professionals, I challenge the subject of “compassion fatigue” and say it’s not the lack of caring, it’s different fatigues. This session comes at the perfect time of the year, a time when the new year is looming and a beautiful time to create the personal and professional development plan to lead a healthier life. In this course, attendees will hear the other aspects of fatigue that will present itself when we care so deeply for animals and those who love them. Discussions of emotional fatigue, ethical fatigue, physical fatigue and others will be presented, and how to create coping mechanisms to deal with individual situations.
