Description
Although a variety of behavioral assessment techniques are used in animal shelters, limited research exists on the accuracy or predictive ability of these tests. Shelters are tasked with the difficult task of protecting both the animals in their care, and the humans that adopt them. This session will summarize recent research on the efficacy of these tests, with applications for shelter use. This session offered as programming during the 2020 Midwest Veterinary Conference.
