Description

Okay, so you’re ready to offer your first puppy class – how exciting! Working with puppies (and their people!) is one of the most fun and rewarding parts of being a pet dog trainer. Taking some time to consider how you set up your class will ensure the best possible experience for everyone involved. In this workshop, we’ll discuss the nuts and bolts of running a successful puppy kindergarten class. When should puppies start class, and what vaccines do they need? What specific skills and behaviors should you cover? What about off-leash playtime? Learn how to consider the pros and cons of different options, so you can design a puppy class that works for you and your clients. You will learn: what factors to consider in finding a suitable space for class, age-appropriate skills and exercises to teach, pros and cons of off-leash puppy play, and how to structure and schedule your class.
