We will explore the following topics: - Search area evaluation - Hide placement strategy - Really listening to the dog in the search - Managing the search - knowing when to make adjustments in handling at the best time to support the dog - Confidently saying “finished!” We will use both live-demos and video review. Goals are to help you gain confidence in: evaluating a search area and being a more empowered team member when it comes to navigation, setting up appropriate hides for what you wish to work on and making sure the dog is learning what you want him to, and reading your dog in a way that makes you a stronger partner. All levels are welcome, but dogs must be on odor. Dana will challenge you in many ways and increase your confidence to read your dog better and be an even better team member in the search.
