Description
Comprehensive understanding and skillful application of the principles and practices of respondent and operant conditioning are at the heart of effective and efficient animal training. This event is a revisiting of the concepts, principles, and practices. Bob will explain: “Think! Plan! Do!”; “Training is a mechanical skill"; Timing! Criteria! Rate of Reinforcement!; Reinforcement is a process, not an event; You get what you reinforce, not what you want!; Pavlov is always on your shoulder!; and more. View this recording as Bob and his colleagues describe and demonstrate the above principles on stage with dogs. There will be hands on training, demos, and lecture. Presenters include trainers and behavior consultants Susan Garrett, B.Sc., Simon Prins, Viviane Theby (German veterinarian and trainer), Shelley Wood, and Margaret Simek.
