Description

This seminar will present the “Click to Calm” techniques for safely and effectively teaching dogs that are over-reactive or aggressive to both people and other dogs. Through clicker training, it is possible to shape a dog’s emotion from one of fear and uncertainty to one of courage and confidence. Through a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation and selected videos, attendees will go home with all of the information that they will need to work privately with an individual or with their own dogs. Topics like preventing the rehearsal of the behavior, shaping a dog’s emotion, and how to determine levels of exposure will be discussed. Foundation behaviors and what to do in case of an emergency are also vital parts of the plan.
