Afternoon Session:1:00-pm-5:00pm – Ring Smart: Tips, Tricks & Strategies to Enhance Joy & Performance in the Ring There’s a huge leap from teaching our dogs the required obedience exercises to successfully competing in the ring. Our dogs may perform the exercises beautifully in training, but can they perform them with enthusiasm and confidence in the often stressful environment of a dog show? In this workshop, we will examine critical concepts for success and practice important skills that can significantly enhance our dog’s performance and scores in the ring. Classical conditioning, warm-ups, acclimation, ring entrances, set-ups, transitions, reinforcement strategies, and staying connected throughout will all be covered in this active, hands-on workshop.
