Description

LLA is an distance education class focused on the fundamental principles of learning and behavior, and the behavior change technology known as applied behavior analysis. As such, it has trans-species, and interdisciplinary relevance to any professionals working with behavior. The class meets via tele-conference for 2 hours weekly for 8 weeks. During tele-classes, students follow the lectures while viewing over 400 slides and videos at the behaviorworks.org website. In addition, students read weekly written lectures, 8-12 pages long, and respond to weekly homework assignments that are queried by the instructors up to 3-5 times, allowing students to continue to revise their responses until they master each concept. Finally, a 25 item final exam, and functional assessment and intervention design exercise are the capstones of the course.
