Description

Fears, phobias and anxieties are among the most common behavior problems seen in companion animals. Often these problems go unrecognized or the behaviors are attributed to other anthropomorphic motivations, such as ???stubbornness?۝. Fears and phobias can also contribute to other behavior problems such as aggression, barking and destructiveness. In this webinar, we?۪ll discuss the causes of fears, their nature, how to recognize them, how they develop, and how to prevent, manage and resolve fearful behavior problems. This class will be valuable for any animal professional who deals with fearful animals. Whether you work with animals as a groomer, doggie day care provider, trainer, veterinary professional or behavior consultant, you will regularly see fearful animals. Knowing how to recognize even subtle signs of fear, how to reduce fearfulness in animals as well as what is involved in dealing with more serious fear problems will make your work more effective, more efficient, safer for people and animals and more humane. You don?۪t have to be a behavior consultant to benefit from this course. The course comes with class notes and recommended readings. You?۪ll find these, and all other information necessary to access the course, on the course page at PetProWebinars.com, after you register and log in. This webinar course consists of three sessions (classes) each one 1 ?_ hours in duration, plus 30 minutes of videos that are also part of the class. After approval, you can receive CEU credits either by attending the live webinar or watching the recorded replays. To obtain CEU credit for watching the replays, you must successfully answer questions asked in the recorded session.
