This 2 day Seminar will sharpen your teaching, training and handling skills enabling you to communicate more effectively with the dogs in your life. Our social structures are similar, but our body languages are very different. Join Pat on Saturday morning and discover how to send the right messages to your dog, and how to use BODY TALK to your best advantage for training and relationship purposes. Pat invites the working participants and their dogs to the floor on Saturday afternoon for an informative and fun-filled presentation about the many applications of SHAPING. Shaping simply means breaking a behavior down into little pieces so that the dog can succeed, and building the pieces into the final behavior. You will be amazed by the complex behaviors your dog can master when you are able to apply free shaping, directed shaping, lure shaping or prompt shaping appropriately. The proper application of shaping can enhance your dog’s performance in the competitive sports of Agility, Rally and Obedience as well in teaching your dog tricks that will amaze you friends! Join Pat on Sunday morning for POSITIVE SOLUTIONS FOR BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS. Learn to apply the principles of behavior and learning to resolve problem behaviors without the use of force. On Sunday afternoon the working participants and their dogs will, once again join Pat on the floor to continue the fun, success and excitement of Saturday afternoon’s presentation on SHAPING. Your dog’s responsiveness and training is only as sharp as your ability to clearly communicate with her. This Seminar is guaranteed to” shape up your training, at both ends of your leash”.
