Description
Where did dogs come from? What is their connection with wolves, with humans? Monty Sloan will explore the deep connection that humans and dogs share, discussing the evolution and natural history of the human / dog relationship. Topics will include the possible origins of dogs, early behavioral ecology and canine form, domestication versus socialization or taming, and examples of natural and artificial selection that may have resulted in the diversity of dog types and breeds we see today.
A question and answer session will follow moderated by Dr. Monique Udell.
