This updated two-day K9 Nose Work seminar includes lecture, video and demonstrations of Container Searches with NACSW and K9 Nose Work Co-Founder, Amy Herot. Participants will examine the complexities of container searches including varying environments, configurations, scent problems (converging odor, trapping odor, pooling odor, distractions, and novelty odor), handling and search management strategy. The two day event is structured to provide layered learning for the demo dogs and an in-depth review of the cause and effect of selected training building blocks. The goal of the seminar is to help handlers develop a training program that supports the individual style and experience level of the dog and handler as a team to improve their performance and confidence.
