Description

This application is for a book I wrote (as Susannah Charleson), published in 2013 by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt: The Possibility Dogs: What a Handful of Rescues Taught Me About Service, Hope, and Healing. The book involves identifying and training talented homeless dogs for service to the disabled or as comfort dogs in the community. The book is still available in hardcover, paperback, e-book, audiobook through major and independent booksellers. Based on the research and work driving that book, I created and still executive direct Possibility Dogs, Inc., a 501c3 that focuses on the above described work, currently advancing the therapeutic use of dogs for Alzheimer's, dementia, and Parkinson's patients. I do speak and give seminars regularly on this topic, but I can apply for CEUs for the speaking events individually. Here, I'm simply requesting CEU credit for the book itself.
