Description

It's definitional, right? Reinforcement is the process by which behavior is strengthened with contingent consequences. Wait a minute! What about reducing problem behaviors with differential reinforcement of alternative behaviors? Is non-contingent reinforcement even possible? When it comes to applying best training practices, even our most trusted definitions go a little bit sideways when we creatively implement the basic learning principles. In this session we will explore some basic science terms and focus on the role reinforcement can play in reducing problem behaviors, effectively and humanely.
