There has been a continual increase in complex dog behaviour concerns such as reactivity and fear. Majority, if not all, of these cases could have been prevented with proper owner education. In most cases, these problems developed because the dog owners did not attend puppy classes or actively socialize their dogs. Due to the trends in TV dog training, there have also been a concerning number of dogs trained by aversive techniques (e.g. dominance theories, choke chains), which are experiencing serious fall-out from these methods. A successful trainer should believe in education and understand that puppy classes are a critical. In this presentation, Megan will explain the reasons that led to them creating a free puppy class format.
