Description

This six lesson online class is designed for the beginning to novice dog trainer who is working with puppies up to the age of six months and how to teach the owner how to teach their puppy through positive reinforcement. Students will learn the importance of early socialization and how best to properly introduce a puppy to new situations and environments. We will address common puppy issues such as house-training, nipping, jumping, and chewing; as well as learn fundamentals such as sit, down, stand, short stays, leave it, come when called, and the basics of loose leash walking. Students will learn how to approach training and discipline in a positive manner during the most crucial social growth stage in a puppy’s development. This course will require the student to pass written quizzes and tests. It will also require the student to submit for grading, video homework assignments that show the knowledge gained from this course can be applied successfully as a skill by the student.
