Description

The Emotional Lives of Companion Animals It is still often considered taboo to speak of animals and emotions in the scientific community however, this seminar is devoted to doing just that; understanding how our beloved animal family members think, feel, and process emotions. By understanding that animals are more than just creatures reacting to stimuli, and knowing that they do in fact experience rich, emotional lives, we will be more likely to succeed in living with them, teaching them, and learning along side them. We will spend time focusing on understanding canine emotions as well discovering appropriate interventions for addressing behaviors associated with dogs that are shy, fearful, or reactive. Join us for a day seminar devoted to understanding our animals...and ourselves.
