Description

When it comes to in-person group dog training classes, it is oftentimes exceedingly helpful to have a class assistant. Many people assume this role is simply busy-work: setting up the room or space, handing out homework or paperwork and perhaps cleaning up afterwards. This couldn't be further from the truth! A good class assistant will facilitate the instructor to focus on instructing, and better still, can elevate the quality of the overall class. Juxtapose this with a poor class assistant, who can inadvertently cause the entire class to be less successful than if they weren't there at all. In this webinar, we will go over 10 things that class assistants can do to help them become an invaluable member of the team. We will also discuss some common pitfalls class assistants should avoid, and how being a class assistant can help in making you a better instructor and dog trainer overall!
