Description

this webinar was already approved for 1.5 CEUs for trainers Validation Code for this event is xsaLUQ8D tress Reduction and Enrichment for Shelter Cats Tuesday, June 18, 3-4:30pm ET The noisy, scary shelter environment is particularly stressful for the cats in your care, so providing these sensitive animals with daily mental and physical stimulation is just as important as it is for dogs. When a cat is frightened and in a confined space where he cannot escape, his behavior will reflect the stress he feels. A stressed cat may completely withdraw or even become aggressive in this situation. Implementing stress reduction procedures from the moment the cats enter your shelter is imperative. Enrichment practices can then keep the cats behaviorally healthy throughout their stay. This webinar will provide you with the knowledge you need to implement a behavioral wellness program for the cats in your care. You will learn how to recognize stress in cats and how to use stress reduction procedures and behavioral enrichment to improve the welfare and adoptability of your feline guests.
