Description

Want a better understanding of how hides work and how odor moves? Ever leave a trial disappointed or confused about what happened? Do you know how to identify the essential building blocks for each of the challenges presented at competition? Make each trial a success with or without the ribbon! Through power point, video, audience participation, and demos, we will explore the importance of hide placement as it relates to skills needed at each level of competition. In this full day symposium, we’ll explore the many facets of how odor works: what might affect the hide, how to know where odor is likely to be traveling, how will my dog work it, and more! This seminar is appropriate for handlers of dogs at all levels, from those just starting a Nose Work dog to handlers who are currently competing at the Elite level. Instructors will benefit from the information provided as they guide their students to success at all levels of training.
