Description

SEMINAR DESCRIPTION: This seminar is open to all Nose Work enthusiasts that have a basic understanding of Nose Work training techniques. We can accept working spots for dogs at various levels from NACSW NW1 – Elite. Topics include: What might/will affect the hide Where will odor be traveling Where (if anywhere) will odor be trapping/pooling Where will dog first catch odor How will dog work the scent Where will dog alert How to set objectives for hides How to set up skill building to help your dog progress At this workshop, you will gain knowledge through discussion, video review, and hands-on interactive participation about hide placement. This is not your ordinary Nose Work seminar! All participants (working spots and audit spots alike) will be involved in setting hides and learning through doing! This is designed as a hands-on, two-day workshop for working teams and auditors. While dogs will definitely work hides, they will not work each and every hide. The workshop focuses on setting hides and exploring how dogs work them. We will have 10 working spots available each day, a total of 20 working spots for the weekend.
