Ken Ramirez will share the many techniques used with exotic animals to get them to cooperate in their own veterinary care. From blood sampling to ultrasound, getting on a scale to wearing a harness, trimming nails to gastric samples. All of these behaviors are common place in the zoological world. The techniques used are basic positive reinforcement with a good understanding of desensitization. Whether you are training a dog or a dolphin, a kitten or a tiger, a horse or a zebra - the techniques are all the same. Ken will take you through the steps, considerations, and challenges of medical training.
