Ian Dunbar discusses how to use lure reward training to gain off leash control of any dog. He talks about the steps of luring and how to phase out the lure so that the handler doesn't need to carry food with them all the time. He also stresses the importance of proofing the sit or down so it can be used in any situation to verbally control the dog. He discusses the 7 biggest behavior problems in dogs and how to put them on cue and then use them to get the appropriate behavior. Dr. Dunbar talks about objectively quantifying a dog's reliability. He teaches how to use a specific redirection to prevent a problem behavior and using a counter conditioning to teach the dog what you want it to do.
