Hello!Here is a little bit about me:Canine Good Citizen Approved Evaluator since 2011~CPDT-KA: since 2010~California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo-Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, minor in Child Development: since 2010~Certified Pet Training Instructor: since 2008~Puppy Raiser-Guide Dogs for the Blind: 2004-2005 Working with people and their dogs allows me to combine my two passions for psychology-\"why people do the things they do\" and animals into one activity.  I have worked with people and breeds of all sizes and temperaments.  Assisting people in finding the right furry companion for their needs is especially rewarding for me, as it keeps animals out of our shelters.  I train using positive reinforcement methods and believe that training is something to do with a dog, not to a dog. Growing up I had miniature Dachshunds and currently own an Australian Shepherd named Natty.  In college I volunteered at San Luis Obispo Animal Services working primarily with the pit bulls and dogs with behavior issues.  I also rescued a pit bull from death row who now lives happily with her loving forever family.  Besides working with dogs I enjoy horseback riding, and currently have an American Quarter Horse named Colonels Miss Chex (Chexy).
